Samsung is making strides in enhancing user experience with the anticipated rollout of Android 16-based One UI 8. One UI 8’s Call Caption feature revealed in the latest leak

In an intriguing development, Indian tipster Tarun Vats shared insights on X regarding a new feature dubbed Call Captions, which is part of the One UI 8 ZYF5 build. Notably, this build differs from the current Beta version, which carries the ZYF3 designation. While the specifics of the ZYF5 build remain unconfirmed, it is anticipated that this feature will be included in the next Beta iteration.

The Call Captions feature, as its name implies, is designed to convert spoken words into text in real time. Although it is still in the early stages and may not be fully stable, users can look forward to a more polished version in the forthcoming stable release. Screenshots shared by Vats provide a glimpse into this innovative feature.

The description of the Call Captions feature states: “Show what each person says on the screen during calls. Captions can be useful when hearing is difficult. If needed, inform the other person that the call is being captioned.” This functionality appears to be particularly beneficial for individuals with hearing impairments, allowing them to read transcribed text and comprehend the conversation more effectively.
