Samsung is refreshing apps ahead of One UI 7 beta

Samsung is making strides in enhancing its user experience ahead of the anticipated launch of the One UI 7 beta program. As part of this initiative, the company has rolled out updates to its Clock app, introducing several visual improvements that are sure to catch the eye of users.

Clock App Revamp

According to a report from Redditor Lord_Drizzleshizz, the updated Clock app, now at version 12.4.00.9, is available through the Galaxy Store. For those eager to explore the new features, it can also be sideloaded via APKMirror. The refreshed design showcases a more modern aesthetic, complete with new widgets and a notification pill. Users will notice enhanced icons accompanying the alarm, world clock, stopwatch, and timer functionalities, contributing to a more cohesive look and feel.

Samsung Internet Browser Update

In addition to the Clock app, Samsung has also updated its Internet browser, now at version 26.0.8.1. While the changes here are less pronounced, the app icon has received a notable redesign. The planet featured in the icon now tilts in a different direction and sports a darker hue, providing a subtle yet fresh update to the browser’s appearance.

As the launch of One UI 7 approaches, it’s likely that more Samsung applications will undergo similar updates, aligning them with the new software’s design language. Speculation suggests that users can expect a variety of new app icons, rounded UI elements, and distinct panels for quick settings and notifications, all aimed at enhancing usability and visual appeal.
