What you need to know
Samsung has embarked on an innovative journey with the introduction of Gallery Assistant within its Members app, a move designed to consolidate all photo and video editing tools into a single, user-friendly interface. This new feature is currently in beta testing for devices running One UI 8, including the flagship Galaxy S25, Z Fold 7, and Z Flip 7, as reported by 9to5Google. The timeline for broader availability remains uncertain, leaving users curious about future updates.
Among the standout features of Gallery Assistant is the much-anticipated batch editing capability. This allows users to apply identical adjustments across multiple photos and videos simultaneously, streamlining the editing process significantly. The app also introduces advanced cropping options, enhancing the existing tools already found in Samsung’s default editor. Users can expect granular controls, such as a slider for compression strength, support for HEVC video formats, and the ability to batch extract up to 20 images at once. Additionally, a unique watermark tool enables users to tile a pattern across an entire image, making it nearly impossible to crop out.
