Google app gets a very useful feature on Android

Google App for Android Introduces a Handy Notifications Tab

In a move to streamline user experience, Google has recently enhanced its Android app with the addition of a dedicated ‘Notifications’ tab. This feature, initially introduced on the mobile version of the Google search website, has now found its way to the Android app in the latest beta release, version 15.20.

The new Notifications tab, as reported by 9To5Google, is conveniently located in the bottom bar of the app, providing users with a centralized location for all their app-related alerts. Whether it’s updates on the weather, the latest sports scores, flight information, or even the word of the day, users can now access all this information in one place. If you happen to dismiss a notification accidentally, you’ll be pleased to find it safely stored within this tab.

Each notification is equipped with a three-dot icon, offering users the ability to manage their notifications with ease. A simple tap reveals options to delete the notification, stop receiving similar notifications in the future, or send feedback directly to Google.

As of now, Google is introducing this update to a select group of users, with plans to expand its availability gradually over the coming days. Following a thorough testing phase in the beta app, the feature is expected to roll out to the wider public in the subsequent months. For those eager to explore the latest features, including those in One UI 6.1 for Galaxy devices, a video overview is available to provide a sneak peek at what’s in store.

With this update, Google continues to refine the functionality and user-friendliness of its services, ensuring that staying informed and in control of your notifications is as seamless as possible.
