Enhancements Arrive for OnePlus Watch 2 and OnePlus 12R
OnePlus Watch 2 owners are in for a treat as the latest software update brings a suite of new features and applications to enhance their wearable experience. Notably, the update includes a new Relax app designed to help users unwind with breathing exercises right from their wrist.

These exercises come with timers and guided instructions to help users through their relaxation sessions.
Additionally, the update brings a Barometer app to the smartwatch, providing users with atmospheric pressure readings. The update also includes a “Tap to wake” feature, which can now be toggled on or off to prevent accidental touches and conserve battery life. A new battery tile has been added to the home screen for quick access to power management.
For those who enjoy personalizing their device, a plethora of new watch faces have been introduced, accessible through the OHealth app. The update promises a smoother user experience, with optimizations to workout data display, music control during exercise, and overall workout and health algorithms. Users can also expect enhancements to the Phone app in Power Saver mode and an improved process for removing watch faces.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus 12R is also receiving an update, the OxygenOS 14.0.0.701 firmware, which is being distributed in batches to North American users. Users will notice a more fluid interface with new transition animations, wallpaper zoom, and bounce effects in the app drawer. The Quick Settings icon has been updated with layer effects, and the overall responsiveness of touch controls has been enhanced for a variety of app interactions.
System-wide enhancements include adjustable volume in Quick Settings, the option to hide the track pattern on the lock screen, and resizable floating windows. The firmware also incorporates the April security patch, contributing to the device’s security and stability.
