The Windows Insider Program is undergoing changes to improve user experience based on feedback from the community. The channel structure will be simplified into two main options: Experimental and Beta. The Experimental channel will provide early access to features under development, while the Beta channel will showcase features planned for near-term release without gradual rollouts. Users will have the option to select specific Windows core versions and enable or disable features through a new Feature flags page. Additionally, transitioning between channels will now allow for in-place upgrades, preserving apps and settings, except when moving from Experimental Future Platforms. All Insiders will be transitioned to either the new Beta or Experimental channel, with specific transitions outlined for current users in the Beta, Dev, and Canary channels. Commercial customers will see similar changes, while those in the Windows Server Insider Program will not experience alterations.

Windows 11 God Mode is a folder that provides a searchable interface for every Control Panel setting, making it a useful tool for users. Despite the introduction of the new Settings app in Windows 11, many settings still redirect users back to the Control Panel, indicating that the transition to a unified interface is incomplete as of March 2026. Users often find themselves navigating through multiple pages in Settings to access certain features that remain in the legacy Control Panel. God Mode simplifies this process by allowing users to quickly find settings without navigating through various menus. To set up God Mode, users can create a new folder on their desktop and rename it to a specific string, which transforms it into a Control Panel icon. This setup works for both Windows 11 Home and Pro without requiring administrative rights.

Windows 11 Pro includes features such as BitLocker, Smart App Control, Dynamic Lock, Controlled Folder Access, Windows Sandbox, Hyper-V, Group Policy, Assigned Access, and Remote Desktop, which enhance security and management for users, especially in hybrid work environments. - BitLocker encrypts drives to protect files if a device is lost or storage is removed. - Smart App Control blocks untrusted or unsigned applications before they run. - Dynamic Lock automatically locks the device when a paired phone moves out of range. - Controlled Folder Access protects files in designated folders from unauthorized modifications. - Windows Sandbox provides a temporary, isolated environment for testing software without affecting the main system. - Hyper-V allows users to run virtual machines and test different operating systems. - Group Policy Editor offers advanced settings for managing updates and security protocols. - Assigned Access restricts a device to a single application for shared-use scenarios. - Remote Desktop enables users to access their main PC remotely from other devices. Recommended features to enable for enhanced security and workflow include BitLocker, Controlled Folder Access, Dynamic Lock, and Remote Desktop. Windows Sandbox is suggested for users dealing with unknown files, while Hyper-V is for advanced users. Group Policy and Assigned Access are beneficial for specific management needs.

Windows 11 is testing a revamped version of its classic Run feature, which will have a modernized interface and is entirely optional. The traditional Run remains unchanged and will coexist with the new version. The modern Run resembles a contemporary flyout, appears as a large, rounded card at the bottom of the screen, and adapts to both dark and light modes. It features a clean input area, a Run button, and a history list of previously accessed commands. The new Run is designed to be more touch-friendly and operates with the same immediacy as the legacy version, without performance issues. However, it cannot be repositioned on the desktop. The modern Run can be activated through Settings > System > Advanced, and Microsoft may introduce new features over time, but the legacy Run will remain the default experience.
