The Google app's Search Live feature is being redesigned to improve user experience. The latest beta version 17.64.13 introduces a more versatile camera view, allowing users to minimize and reposition the camera window, and eliminates the glow effect around the video feed. The new design features a compact viewfinder with a grab handle for easy minimization. The Transcript button appears to be missing, but transcripts can still be accessed through the AI Mode search history page. How to Integrate Unity ARCore Geospatial Into a Native Android App

The integration of AR capabilities into an app using Unity involves several steps. Initially, a Geospatial sample project is created in Unity, starting as a 3D project and switching the platform to Android. Key steps include downloading and importing the Cesium and ARCore Extensions packages, setting project settings for Android, enabling Google ARCore, and configuring API keys. For 3D model integration, a model is selected from the Unity Store, positioned correctly on the map using AR Geospatial Creator Anchor, and adjustments are made for visibility. Animation is added through an Animator Controller, and potential build issues may require adjustments in Unity preferences. When importing Unity as a library into an Android project, the minSdk version must align with Unity settings, and resolved libraries should be deleted to avoid complications. The unityLibrary is included in the project’s settings.gradle file, and modifications to build.gradle files may be necessary to resolve NDK visibility issues. A missing string resource can cause crashes, which can be fixed by adding a string to strings.xml.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance studio co-founder says a lot of RPGs are ‘still games for teenagers,’ and that he’s ‘tired of all the RPGs where you are this chosen one’

Martin Klima, co-founder of Warhorse Studios, expressed fatigue with conventional RPG narratives that often revolve around the 'chosen one' trope and grand missions. He believes many players are tired of this formula and seek something fresh, which inspired the creation of Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Klima noted that the gaming landscape has not significantly changed, as many games still cater primarily to teenagers, despite the audience maturing. He criticized publishers for recycling proven formulas, using Ubisoft as an example, and acknowledged the high craftsmanship in their games while wishing for more innovation. He also recognized the financial constraints that limit experimentation in the industry.

My 4-year-old Android phone is showing its age. Here’s how I’m keeping it running

Many users are considering whether to upgrade their smartphones or extend the life of their current devices. Strategies to rejuvenate aging smartphones include: 1. Replacing Hardware: Replacing the battery can significantly improve performance, especially if the original battery's health is below 75%. Using a slower charger (like an 18W charger) can reduce heat and extend battery longevity. 2. Switching Apps: Replacing resource-heavy applications with lighter alternatives can enhance performance. For example, using the Brave browser instead of Chrome and AntennaPod instead of Spotify can conserve battery life. 3. Optimizing System Settings: Adjusting settings such as window animations and screen refresh rates can improve user interface responsiveness. Setting a maximum charge limit of 80-90% can help mitigate heat buildup. 4. Regular Maintenance: Deleting large files and using Android's built-in Private DNS can prevent lag and enhance performance. Flashing a custom ROM like LineageOS can provide a new operating system experience but may come with risks. 5. User Vigilance: While older phones may pose security risks, users can extend their life with regular updates and maintenance, especially as manufacturers offer devices with longer software support.

Minecraft Dungeons 2 Review (PS5) – A Stripped Back Dungeon Crawler Which Earns It Keep With New And…

The author has never played Minecraft and has mixed feelings about dungeon crawlers, finding titles like Diablo IV overly complex. They discovered Minecraft Dungeons 2, which offers a simpler dungeon-crawling experience without the usual complexities of the genre. The game's narrative involves the Illagers opening a portal to a realm called the Sift, where players must reclaim the Overworld. Minecraft Dungeons 2 lacks traditional class systems and deep character customization, instead allowing players to create characters from presets and use a straightforward equipment system. The game features fast travel, clear objectives, and a polished visual style, with responsive combat and a variety of weapons and armor. While it may feel shallow to some veteran players, it is designed for cooperative play and prioritizes accessibility. Minecraft Dungeons 2 is set to release for PS5 on September 29, 2026.
