Last Flag studio lays off half its employees as it puts ‘the future of the game in the hands of our players’

The CTF shooter game Last Flag was co-founded by Mac and Dan Reynolds, members of the band Imagine Dragons. In 2025, Tyler Wilde from PC Gamer reviewed the game positively. Despite its gameplay, Last Flag struggled to build a player base, leading Night Street Games to announce a free weekend initiative in April, which was later retracted due to low player numbers. The studio's CEO, Mac Reynolds, confirmed a workforce reduction, with about a dozen employees leaving, leaving only 13 team members. Night Street Games plans to support laid-off employees and will continue to release new content for Last Flag, including characters, maps, and custom lobbies. The remaining developers are looking forward to new projects.

Saber Unbound codes (May 2026)

Saber Unbound is a game inspired by the Star Wars universe, featuring Bloxified versions of characters like Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Darth Maul. Overwatch slaps a loot box band-aid on its disappointing tenth anniversary event, promising more later

Overwatch is celebrating its tenth anniversary, but the event has received mixed reactions from players. While the game had a revival earlier in the year with new heroes and updates, the anniversary offerings are seen as modest, featuring basic character skins and limited loot boxes. Microsoft Confirms KB5083769 Breaks Macrium and Acronis Backups

Microsoft's April 2026 Windows security update, KB5083769, may disrupt image-mount operations for backup applications such as Macrium Reflect, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, UrBackup Server, and NinjaOne Backup due to the addition of the psmounterex.sys kernel driver to its Vulnerable Driver Blocklist. This action was taken to address a high-severity buffer overflow vulnerability, CVE-2023-43896. The inclusion of this driver in the blocklist has rendered several backup products inoperable, and Microsoft will not retract the block for security reasons. Administrators can use Event ID 3077 in the Code Integrity log to confirm that the blocklist is causing the failures. Microsoft advises updating backup applications to versions that include necessary driver protections instead of uninstalling or pausing the security patch. Additionally, the April updates have caused other issues, such as failures in Windows Server installations and devices booting into BitLocker recovery mode.

Google Health will leave behind some classic Fitbit app features: Here’s all of them

Google is transitioning the Fitbit app to the Google Health platform, resulting in the removal of features such as Sleep Profile, badges, and social interactions like groups and messaging. New metrics will include Resilience and weekly cardio targets, replacing traditional stress scores and daily goals. The Google Health app will allow users to monitor oxygen saturation levels through SpO2 data, while Estimated Oxygen Variation (EOV) levels will be retired. The cardio fitness core will shift to a standard VO2 max measurement, and minute-by-minute skin temperature data will be replaced with daily and weekly trends. The transition will eliminate social features, with changes effective for older Fitbit users starting May 12, 2026.
