Nothing Warp is an app that enables seamless file transfers between any Android device and a computer, compatible with any Android smartphone and computers with a Chromium-based browser. It connects an Android device to a browser extension on a computer using the internet for file sharing. Users can transfer files by tapping the share button on their device and selecting Nothing Warp, or by clicking the Upload button in the browser extension to send files from the computer to the Android device. Currently in Beta testing, Nothing Warp requires a Google account for operation and does not store files, ensuring privacy. Users must install both the mobile app and the browser extension, sign in with the same Google account, and grant necessary permissions for Google Drive access to use the service.

Many Google apps could pick up a fresh gradient icon redesign

Google is redesigning its app icons to adopt a more vibrant and gradient-centric aesthetic, moving away from its traditional minimalist style. Microsoft Adds Policy to Let IT Admins Uninstall Copilot From Enterprise Windows 11 Devices

Microsoft has introduced a policy allowing IT administrators to remove the Microsoft Copilot app from managed enterprise devices. This "Remove Microsoft Copilot App" policy will be available as a Policy CSP and Group Policy after the April 2026 Windows security updates for Windows 11 devices on the 25H2 update, specifically for Enterprise, Professional, and Education editions. The policy will uninstall Copilot under certain conditions: both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Copilot must be installed, the user must not have manually installed the app, and the app must not have been launched in the past 28 days. Administrators can enable the policy through the Group Policy Editor or configure it via Microsoft Intune and SCCM after the April 2026 updates. The policy aligns with Microsoft's recent changes in managing Copilot, including the cessation of automatic installations and the cancellation of plans to integrate Copilot into system notifications and other features. The policy was initially available to Windows Insiders in January before becoming generally accessible in April 2026.

The Steam Deck Verified program assesses game compatibility based on four criteria: Controller input, Display, Seamlessness, and System support. Games are rated as Verified, Playable, Unsupported, or Unknown, with these ratings displayed in the Steam store. Valve may potentially make the collected data accessible to the public in the future.

Microsoft rolls out revamped Windows Insider Program

Microsoft is overhauling its Windows Insider Program to enhance the reliability of Windows 11 and improve user feedback responsiveness. The program will now consist of two channels: Experimental, which replaces the Dev and Canary channels for testing experimental features, and Beta, which will provide immediate access to all features listed in the release notes without gradual rollouts. The transition will occur in phases, starting with users in the Dev Channel moving to Experimental. Users from the Canary Channel will also be transitioned to specific versions of the Experimental channel. Beta Channel users will experience a new Beta setup, with minor adjustments possible. Microsoft is updating build details, with the latest builds including Build 26220.8283 for Beta, Build 26300.8289 for Experimental, Build 28020.1873 for Experimental 26H1, and Build 29576.1000 for Experimental Future Platforms. Additionally, a new Windows Update experience will allow users to pause updates and avoid unexpected reboots.
