Windows CE Ported to Nintendo 64

Throaty Mumbo successfully ran Windows CE 2.11 on the Nintendo 64 by leveraging the shared architecture of both systems, which are based on the MIPS R4000 processor family. The project involved a month of reverse engineering, using Microsoft toolchains, custom hardware modifications, and debugging techniques. An EverDrive flash cartridge was used to load custom ROMs, and a USB connection facilitated uploads from a PC. Challenges included crashes with the initial EverDrive cartridge, which were resolved by upgrading to the EverDrive-64 X7. A custom kernel clone was created to troubleshoot issues with the stock Windows CE kernel, ultimately allowing the project to revert to the unmodified version. The Nintendo 64 controller was repurposed as a mouse, and standard Windows CE applications could be launched from the desktop. Comprehensive build details are available on GitHub.

‘Palworld Online’ has been trademarked, but there’s hints of potential AI use

Pocketpair submitted a trademark application for 'Palworld Online' on April 27, 2026, which is currently labeled as 'live' by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). A similar trademark was filed in South Korea on April 24, 2026. The trademark pertains to "recorded computer game programs and recorded game software," and includes "toy design," suggesting potential new merchandise linked to the Palworld Trading Card Game (TCG). It also references "Artificial intelligence as a service (AIAAS) services featuring software using artificial intelligence (AI) for developing computer games." The 1.0 release of Palworld is projected for sometime in 2026, with speculation about the possibility of an MMO format.

The collection includes seven classic titles from the animated series: - The Ren and Stimpy Show: Space Cadet Adventures (Game Boy) - The Ren and Stimpy Show: Veediots! (SNES) - The Ren and Stimpy Show: Veediots! (Game Boy) - The Ren and Stimpy Show: Buckeroo$! (NES) - The Ren and Stimpy Show: Buckeroo$! Payday 2 launches DLC subscription service three weeks after raising prices, because we all need another Netflix

Gustav Nisser, head of commercial at Starbreeze, stated that the recent price increase of the Infamous Collection for Payday 2 was "completely unrelated" to the launch of their new subscription service. The price of the Infamous Collection increased from £100.29 to £145.33, nearly doubling in just three weeks. Earlier this year, the bundle was available for £80.71. In response to community backlash regarding the price change and its timing, Nisser acknowledged internal miscommunication and announced that the price would be reverted immediately. The subscription service for Payday 2 will launch in 2025, allowing players to access all DLC for a monthly fee of £3.99 or £15.99 for six months.
