Embark is overhauling Arc Raiders in preparation for the update titled Frozen Trail, which includes revamping anti-cheat measures, introducing a potential PvE test, and adjusting loot hotspots. A significant change involves reworking the character Celeste, voiced by Diana Gardner, to better reflect her performance and enhance the game's narrative. Chief creative officer Stefan Strandberg noted that Celeste's previous design limited expressive capabilities, hindering storytelling. The team aims to integrate more authentic human performances to create a more immersive experience for players.

Apex Legends Season 27 massively buffs three characters, but devs promise “Octane has not been forgotten”

Apex Legends Season 27 will feature a significant revamp of the Olympus map, the official integration of the 'supergliding' movement mechanic, and various weapon adjustments. Instead of introducing a new character, three legends—Horizon, Valkyrie, and Rampart—will be reworked due to their low pick rates. Valkyrie will receive reduced cooldowns, increased flight speed, and an upgraded ultimate ability called Super Sonic. Horizon will have a reduced cooldown on her Gravity Lift and an enhanced Black Hole ultimate. Rampart's rework will focus on her defensive capabilities, including walls with roofs for protection and benefits for teammates behind them. Octane will not be reworked this season despite a recent decline in his pick rate. Respawn Entertainment plans to improve transparency regarding their character adjustment decisions. Season 27 is set to launch on November 4.
