Time Crisis Arcade-Perfect PC Port Is Now Available for Download

An unofficial PC version of the arcade classic Time Crisis has been released as part of the “Namco System 22 games for PC” initiative, which aims to bring several arcade games to the PC platform. The namco22-decompile project currently supports five titles: Time Crisis, Rave Racer, Dirt Dash, Tokyo Wars, and Prop Cycle. These games run more efficiently than traditional emulators and support widescreen formats and resolutions up to 4K. The Time Crisis port features mouse control support and compatibility with light guns. Players need to supply their own ROM files to enjoy the games, as the project does not include in-game assets. Other unofficial PC ports include titles such as Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Donkey Kong Country games. September 2026 has seen various unofficial PC ports, including Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, GTA: Liberty City Stories, and Super Mario Strikers.

Tarae: The Unbound is an ‘Eastern dark fantasy’ action RPG, and I for one am here for K-Diablo

Many enthusiasts are experiencing fatigue towards the action role-playing game (ARPG) genre. The trailer for Tarae: The Unbound was revealed during Gamescom 2026, showcasing a fresh aesthetic that diverges from typical dark themes in ARPGs. The game promises a vibrant reimagining of Eastern mythology and folklore, featuring battles set against serene Buddhist temples and formidable foes inspired by East Asian monster illustrations. One character class includes an elderly gentleman wielding a matchlock gun that fires rapidly. Tarae: The Unbound is set to be released on December 11 and is available for wishlisting on Steam.

This mod transforms Doom into a terrifying tactical shooter, and it’s partly inspired by another PC gaming classic

Blackout is an alpha-stage mod for Doom source ports Zandronum and UZDoom, created by modder PKmX. It emphasizes tactical military simulation with slow, methodical gameplay, encouraging players to use cover and breaching techniques. The mod features mechanics inspired by the Crysis series, including an energy suit with a damage-absorbing shield, an adrenaline system for speed boosts, and a cloaking device for stealth. PKmX recommends complementary mods, such as a palette mod to enhance the dark atmosphere. Blackout aims to redefine player engagement in the Doom universe by blending strategy and horror.
