Hackers have issued an ultimatum to Rockstar Games and threatened to release GTA 6 on PC worldwide.

The anonymous group CYBERLEEK claims to possess a complete working build of Grand Theft Auto 6 and threatens to release it to millions of PC users unless legal actions against them are stopped. They have distributed backup copies of the game globally, beyond U.S. legal jurisdiction, and have an automated system that could release the game if their communication is disrupted. CYBERLEEK is soliciting cryptocurrency donations and positioning their actions as a protest against the digitalization of the gaming industry. The gaming community is divided on the authenticity of the threat, with some speculating it may be a marketing strategy. Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games have not commented and are preparing for the game's release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

Threema has chosen not to implement interoperability with WhatsApp, citing concerns over user privacy and security, as differences in user identification methods could lead to compromises that weaken privacy protections. Threema believes that interoperability could reinforce WhatsApp's market dominance, reducing the incentive for users to adopt the Threema app. Additionally, Threema's business model relies on app sales for revenue, and a drop in downloads due to interoperability could threaten this model. Consequently, Threema has decided against pursuing interoperability with WhatsApp to maintain its commitment to privacy and security.

1 Million Users Donate To Rescue Session Messenger From Shutdown

On May 28, The Petty Mac Revue will perform at 6 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9 p.m. On May 29, the Broadway tour of “Beetlejuice” will be at the Wilson Center, with five performances from May 29 to 31. Other events include “Ten-Minute Miscellany” at Thalian Hall, “Mahalia: A Gospel Musical” by Techmoja Dance Company, “Twelfth Night” by Cape Fear Shakespeare, and a stand-up comedy show by Nick Murphy at Dead Crow Comedy Room. On May 30, the Port City Highland Games will take place at 3600 Randall Parkway, celebrating Scottish heritage and benefiting paws4vets, with over 1,500 participants expected. Other events include NC Vibe Fest, a performance by Striking Copper at Waterline Brewing, The Pop Culture Expo at Elk’s Lodge, Venus Flytrap Festival at BSL Community Center, and CFCC Riverfront Boat Show. On May 31, “Dear Evan Hansen” will be performed at Front Street Theater, with final performances from May 28 to 31.
