Image Toolbox emerges as a solution to streamline this workflow. This Android app consolidates essential functions such as resizing, format conversion, watermarking, and platform-specific exports into a single, user-friendly interface.

Developed by Malik Mukhametzyanov under the moniker “T8RIN“, Image Toolbox is available for free and notably devoid of advertisements. The app’s features cater specifically to the needs of content creators, including:

I used it for a while
Upon launching Image Toolbox, users are greeted with a request for standard permissions related to notifications and file access, alongside an option to opt out of update checks. Customization options abound; I found the app’s color scheme seamlessly integrated with my phone’s Dynamic color setting. Activating “Amoled mode” transformed the interface into a sleek, dark theme, enhancing the user experience.
Exploring the app, I discovered a plethora of features organized into categories such as Layout, Confetti, Vibration, Screen, Text, and Behavior. While I left most settings untouched, the default configuration proved satisfactory for my needs.
Focusing on a select few tools from the extensive library of over 100, I began with the Single Edit feature. Adjusting the quality slider to a mere 7 percent transformed a 3.8 MB photo into a whimsical oil painting, significantly reducing its size to approximately 128 KB. The app also allowed for easy Exif editing, enabling me to modify parameters such as capture date and camera details without exiting the interface.
It has AI powers
Next, I ventured into the AI Tools section, utilizing the U2NetP model for background removal. After selecting an image of a clock tower and setting the output format to WEBP, I initiated the processing. The result was a clean image with the background successfully removed, although some edges lacked sharpness—an acceptable trade-off for the capabilities of a deep learning model.
Additionally, the Presets feature under the Resize and Convert tool presented a user-friendly interface for selecting aspect ratios tailored to various social media platforms. I opted for the 4:5 aspect ratio preset for an Instagram-ready image, achieving a satisfactory output without compromising quality or color integrity.
Track usage
Image Toolbox includes a “Usage Statistics” page that discreetly monitors app usage, tracking metrics such as the number of app opens, the tools utilized, and data savings. Importantly, all data remains on the device, ensuring user privacy.
My personal statistics revealed three app opens, 19 tool accesses, and approximately 14 MB in data savings, with WEBP as my most frequently used format. For those who prefer multitasking, the app allows users to queue multiple images for processing while keeping an eye on notifications for updates.

Both versions are identical, with the F-Droid variant being a “FOSS” build that excludes Google-related trackers, whereas the Play Store version retains these elements, including analytics and crash reporting.
