Microsoft is testing three key features to enhance user control over Windows 11 updates.
1. Users can now postpone updates indefinitely for up to 35 days, with the option to initiate another pause afterward. This feature is not applicable to commercial devices and critical updates must still be installed.
2. Updates will be bundled together to reduce the frequency of required restarts, allowing users to complete multiple updates simultaneously. Driver updates will be more clearly labeled for better user understanding.
These changes are part of a broader effort to improve the user experience in Windows 11, with a significant overhaul expected by 2026.
