We Are Social launches Minecraft experience with One Voice to raise awareness of animal testing

Minecraft 26.3 Snapshot 3 patch notes: Straw Bed, Cushion, and more revealed

Mojang has released Minecraft 26.3 Snapshot 3, introducing new features focused on player comfort, including the Cushion and the Straw Bed. The Cushion is a placeable item available in 16 colors, crafted from three wool slabs of the same hue. The Straw Bed allows players to sleep through the night without setting a spawn point and is single-use, being destroyed after use. Additional features include Gothic language support, a new command (/posteffect) for adding or removing post-processing shader effects, data-driven custom brewing recipes, and a new minecraft:number_provider registry for flexible data-driven systems. Bug fixes in this snapshot address various gameplay issues, including problems with Drowned entities, rendering issues on macOS, and inconsistencies in GUI elements.

Minecraft finally adds seats after 17 years, but the potential for builders is even bigger

This fan-favorite Android Auto video app is calling it quits, but with a sweet goodbye update

Fermata Xtream, a popular app for streaming videos and live television on Android Auto, is ceasing further development as announced by its developer, Malebuffy. A final update, version 2.3.1, has been released, which includes enhancements such as fixed main menu item reordering, a main menu color change option, simplified mirroring functionality, the addition of a Plex client in an experimental phase, and various bug fixes. LineageOS announces browser flashing, Android 17 plans, and new supported devices

You can soon restore Windows 11 from scratch even if it can’t boot up

Microsoft is previewing a recovery tool called Cloud rebuild for Windows 11, which allows for a clean reinstallation of the operating system even if it fails to boot. Unlike the existing "Reset this PC" feature, Cloud rebuild does not retain personal files, settings, or applications, requiring users to restore these independently. To use Cloud rebuild, users need the latest Windows 11 insider build (Preview Build 26300.8772 or higher) and must follow specific steps in the Windows Recovery Environment. The timeline for broader availability of Cloud rebuild is uncertain, depending on ongoing testing and feedback.
