Minecraft Preview 26.40.30

Players can find abandoned camps in the Pale Garden and Flower Forest biomes, which include a one-time use Straw Bed crafted from three hay bales. Minecraft 26.3 Snapshot 3

In version 26.3, two new features have been introduced: the Cushion and the Straw Bed. The Cushion allows players to sit around a campfire and is available in 16 colors, crafted from three wool slabs of the same color. It can be placed on any flat surface, aligns horizontally to the grid, and overlaps with most objects. The Straw Bed enables players to sleep without setting a spawn point, can be used only once, and is destroyed after a single night's sleep. It is crafted from three hay bales, yielding four beds, and a new statistic tracks how many times players have slept in a Straw Bed. Additionally, the Data Pack version is now 110.0, and the Resource Pack version is 91.0. New commands for post effects have been added, and various gameplay mechanics have been updated, including changes to bed rules and loot tables. New block textures and sound events for the Straw Bed and Cushion have also been introduced, along with numerous bug fixes.

GOG is also offering the Silence soundtrack for 29 cents, a 90% discount. Additionally, other Daedalic titles, including The Night of the Rabbit, Memoria, Harvey's New Eyes, Chains of Satinav, and Deponia, are available at a 90% discount. Silence was originally subtitled The Whispered World 2. The GOG Summer Sale runs until July 9.

After going to bed, the date will occur the following evening at 6 PM. You can date multiple individuals, but the most recent invite will determine who picks you up for the date. Once dating, rewards include friendship points, affectionate gestures, and potential gifts from dates.

Microsoft to enable Windows settings backup by default for orgs

Microsoft will enable the Windows settings backup and restore tool by default for enterprise systems joined to Microsoft Entra or operating in a hybrid environment with the upgrade to Windows 11 version 26H2. This tool, previously known as Windows Backup for Organizations, assists users in backing up and restoring Windows settings after events like device resets or upgrades. The tool debuted at the Microsoft Ignite conference in November 2024, became publicly available in August 2025, and requires the September 2025 Windows Monthly Cumulative Update for access. The default-on setting applies only to eligible devices where administrators have not set the policy otherwise, and IT administrators can manage this through mobile device management solutions. Restore functionality will not be enabled by default and requires administrative configuration. The default-on behavior will also be available in the Windows Insider Program Experimental channel starting July 2026.
