KCD2 publisher’s stunning, troubled Norse RPG gets a whole new version just two months after launch, and it changes everything

The original Baldur's Gate was released in 1998, with its enhanced edition launched in 2012, 14 years later. The remastered version of Neverwinter Nights came out in 2018, 16 years after the original, while Aspyr Media's sequel enhancement was released 19 years post-launch. Echoes of the End was launched on August 12, 2023, and is set to receive an enhanced edition after only two months, despite having only 425 lifetime reviews and a mixed reception on Steam, with 68% positive reviews. The game features a cinematic, third-person action-adventure format inspired by Iceland. The enhanced edition will include significant changes such as updated animations, a revamped combat system, a new equipment system with 13 outfits and over 20 relics, and reduced puzzle complexity. These enhancements will be available at no extra cost to existing owners of the game.

CHARTS: Battlefield 6 holds onto No.1 spot on Steam

Battlefield 6 is the highest-grossing game on Steam for the week ending October 21st, having sold over seven million copies since its launch on October 10th. The Gamescom 2025 schedule included titles like Europa Universalis 5 and Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era. Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era was highlighted as one of the top five games of the event. Ubisoft is in need of a successful title, especially after challenges with other games. Olden Era features stunning visuals, introduces the Lovecraftian Schism, and has an Arena mode similar to Hearthstone Battlegrounds. A demo for Olden Era is available on Steam, featuring four playable factions (Dungeon, Necropolis, Schism, and Temple) and three game modes (Arena, Classic, and Single Hero). The demo is single-player, while the full release will include multiplayer. The early access launch for Olden Era has been pushed to 2026.

Inspired by an underrated TTRPG, this new fantasy adventure is adding more of everything

Frosthaven, a digital adaptation of the board game and sequel to Gloomhaven’s video game, launched in Early Access on Steam at the end of July and has achieved a 72% user rating. Upcoming updates include three new heroes, over 18 new quests, five bosses, and the Unfettered storyline in October, with major updates planned for January, April, and July of 2026, introducing additional content and culminating in the plot's finale.
