United Arab Emirates-based publisher and developer Red Dunes Games has embarked on an exciting multi-year partnership with Acquire Corp., the esteemed Japanese studio renowned for iconic franchises such as Tenchu and Way of the Samurai. This collaboration aims to fuse Acquire’s craftsmanship with a daring, global creative vision, setting the stage for a series of innovative gaming experiences.
Upcoming Projects
In their announcement, the companies unveiled plans for three ambitious projects. These include:
- Project Tremor: A thrilling game featuring city-shaking kaiju battles.
- Project Umbra: An immersive dark fantasy adventure centered around intense ‘hunts.’
- Project Shadowcar: A gripping spy thriller that promises to keep players on the edge of their seats.
All three titles are positioned as global premium releases for console and PC, with world premieres anticipated at major events, including the Tokyo Game Show.
Acquire Corp. recently made headlines with the development of the RPG Mario & Luigi: Brothership for Nintendo Switch and was acquired by Kadokawa Corporation, the parent company of FromSoftware, in 2024. Meanwhile, Red Dunes Games, which was introduced to the gaming world in September 2024, is preparing to launch its first titles, including the puzzle adventure Princess of the Water Lilies and the Metroidvania game Zozo and the Lost Dreams.
