The unexpected success of "A Minecraft Movie" has led to a phenomenon called the "Chicken Jockey" trend, where audiences, particularly children, react exuberantly during screenings by tossing popcorn and hoisting friends onto their shoulders. Director Jared Hess supports this lively trend, emphasizing the importance of allowing kids to enjoy themselves without law enforcement interference. He appreciates the memories being created among friends and families and finds joy in the enthusiastic audience reactions, which he has been actively watching through shared videos. Initially, Hess found the "Chicken Jockey" phrase annoying due to his son's frequent use of it, but he did not anticipate its evolution into the current theater experience. The film is currently in theaters from Warner Bros. Pictures.
