Exclusive: How One Line of Code Put Billions of Microsoft Android App Downloads at Risk

A significant security vulnerability has been found in six Microsoft 365 Android applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Loop, and OneNote, due to an active debug flag left in the production code. This oversight allowed untrusted apps to request and receive access tokens, compromising user account security. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by embedding malicious code in a widely distributed app, enabling unauthorized access to sensitive information such as emails, documents, and communications. Microsoft confirmed the issues and issued CVE numbers CVE-2026-41100, -41101, and -41102, releasing patches through their Patch Tuesday mechanism and a specific patched build on the Google Play Store. Users are advised to update their applications to mitigate the risk.

Freeman recently played Angeline Era on her Steam Deck and completed Scarlet Hollow, which she describes as a masterpiece with a complex branching narrative. The oldest game installed on her PC is Rollercoaster Tycoon Deluxe, released in 1999. She has logged over 2,101 hours in Dota 2, which she and her husband enjoy together. Freeman considers Devotion by Red Candle Games one of the best horror games and will never uninstall it from her library. She relies on OBS for her work as a game developer and Twitch streamer, and maintains a tidy desktop for streaming purposes, although her external hard drives are less organized.

Kusan: City of Wolves Launches For PC and Consoles on July 30

Last Flag studio lays off half its employees as it puts ‘the future of the game in the hands of our players’

The CTF shooter game Last Flag was co-founded by Mac and Dan Reynolds, members of the band Imagine Dragons. In 2025, Tyler Wilde from PC Gamer reviewed the game positively. Despite its gameplay, Last Flag struggled to build a player base, leading Night Street Games to announce a free weekend initiative in April, which was later retracted due to low player numbers. The studio's CEO, Mac Reynolds, confirmed a workforce reduction, with about a dozen employees leaving, leaving only 13 team members. Night Street Games plans to support laid-off employees and will continue to release new content for Last Flag, including characters, maps, and custom lobbies. The remaining developers are looking forward to new projects.
