The Minecraft Movie is set to launch on April 4, 2025. Mojang has released a free Minecraft Movie add-on in the Minecraft Marketplace, which includes new character names, weapons, and bosses. The add-on features two new bosses: Malgosha, who conjures explosive fireballs and summons additional piglins, and the Great Hog, which attacks with fireballs and powerful punches. Players can encounter new Piglins and access the add-on by using the Bedrock version of Minecraft with an internet connection. A mod featuring Jack Black as the movie version of Steve is also available for PC users.

Dungeons & Dragons: A New Quest is an expansion for Minecraft that was released on February 20, 2025. It invites players to embark on a narrative-driven adventure in the Forgotten Realms, featuring new gameplay mechanics, locations, magic items, monsters, and dialogue options. The expansion continues the story of protagonists Katra and Vaer, who aim to reclaim Vaer’s stolen soul. Players can choose from four classes: Barbarian, Rogue, Wizard, and Paladin, each with unique abilities. The game can be downloaded from the Minecraft Marketplace for approximately 1510 Minecoins, and players who download it before March 20, 2025, will receive a complimentary Dragon Mask character item. A New Quest shifts from the turn-based mechanics of the previous D&D DLC released in 2023 to a more action-oriented approach.

In the world of the Na’vi, individuals believe they experience life twice: first in Minecraft and then as part of the Na’vi. The new DLC, Avatar: Rites of Passage, is available from Gamemode One and 20th Century Studios, featuring a complimentary Na’vi Kuru item. Players will explore Pandora's landscapes, encountering various creatures and bioluminescent plants. As a young Na’vi, players must complete their Omatikayan Rites of Passage while dealing with their father's illness. The journey involves gathering edible plants, hunting, defending against viperwolves, connecting with Spirit Trees, and taming a direhorse. The final challenge includes bonding with an Ikran atop the Hallelujah Mountains. The DLC can be purchased on the Minecraft Marketplace.

The Moana 2 DLC is a multiplayer expansion from Disney and Starfish Studios that allows players to explore the island of Motunui and beyond. The Bedrock Edition offers cross-platform compatibility, allowing play on consoles, mobile devices, and PCs, and is optimized for less powerful hardware. It also includes access to the Minecraft Marketplace and supports controller play and Chromebooks. Worlds and saves from the Java Edition cannot be transferred to the Bedrock Edition.
