Donkey Kong Land PC Fan Remake Available for Download

A fan-made remake of the Nintendo Game Boy title Donkey Kong Land has been created by YouTube user ‘kasquez’ and is now available for PC. This remake features over 30 full-sized levels, refined controls, and updated graphics and sound that closely resemble the SNES version. It does not require the original ROM file and includes assets from the original game. The project is at risk of being taken down due to copyright concerns from Nintendo. Other notable fan projects in the gaming community include remakes of titles like Superman, Halo 3: ODST, and Metal Gear Solid, as well as various tech demos and ports.

29 years later, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night gets its second PC port in 4 weeks thanks to fans of the PS1 version

Champion modder ports the OG ‘Father’ Nier back into the PC remaster, original voiceovers and all

Modder Elevna has released Nier Gestalt ver.1.22474487139…, which replaces the youthful protagonist from the 2022 remaster with the older version from the original 2010 game. It supports both keyboard and mouse as well as gamepad controls, with day-one keyboard and mouse support included. The port enhances visuals with dynamic scene lighting and realistic shadows, while restoring the original HUD, inventory systems, objectives, and weapon menus. Visual issues related to pickups and grenade effects have been fixed, and weapon muzzle flashes have been reinstated.
