Android stuck in Safe Mode? Here’s how to turn it off

Safe Mode on Android disables all third-party applications and engages Airplane Mode to help troubleshoot device issues. It can be activated by holding down the Power Off button and selecting the Safe Mode option, which may lead to unintentional activation. To disable Safe Mode, users can either restart the device or tap the notification in the Notification Menu indicating Safe Mode is active. After exiting Safe Mode, Airplane Mode may remain active, which can be turned off through the Quick Settings menu. Google Play Protect also provides additional security measures that may cause user frustration.

Here’s how Googlebooks will stop random files from clogging your desktop

Neverwinter: Monoliths of Madness Launches For PC & Consoles

Neverwinter has released its latest expansion, Monoliths of Madness, available on PC and consoles. The expansion introduces chaotic magic and new challenges in Faerûn, with strange monoliths emerging across Menzoberranzan, Northdark Reaches, Narbondellyn, and Dragonbone Vale, spreading madness and attracting cultists. “More interruptions than necessary,” Microsoft on Windows 11’s forced reboots for updates, rolls out a fix

Microsoft is changing the Windows 11 update process to consolidate various updates into a single monthly restart, starting with updates released on or after July 28, 2026. This new system combines driver updates, .NET updates, and firmware updates with the monthly security update, allowing for one restart per month instead of multiple. Updates requiring a restart will wait until the scheduled monthly security update, which is typically released on the second Tuesday of each month. Users can find combined updates under Settings > Windows Update > Available updates and can choose to restart sooner if desired. Additionally, users can pause updates for up to 35 days through Settings > Windows Update.
