Neverwinter has unveiled its latest expansion, Monoliths of Madness, now available on both PC and consoles. This new chapter introduces players to a world where chaotic magic reigns, bringing fresh challenges and dangers throughout Faerûn.
Chaotic Magic Returns With Neverwinter: Monoliths of Madness
Across the realms of Menzoberranzan, Northdark Reaches, Narbondellyn, and Dragonbone Vale, strange monoliths have begun to emerge. Their corrupting influence spreads madness among nearby creatures, while cultists tirelessly work to amplify their power. Players, starting at level 20, are called to join the Emerald Enclave in a quest to uncover the origins of these mysterious structures and halt their proliferation. The mission involves cleansing Madness Altars by defeating the nightmares and cultists that guard them. Adventurers will face Heroic Encounters where magical anomalies unleash unpredictable hazards, including deadly meteor showers and virulent afflictions. A formidable Nightmare also periodically surfaces, threatening to spread chaos across the region.
Combat Enchantment Updates
In this expansion, players can enhance their combat strategies with updated enchantments, allowing them to equip both Strike and Guard bonuses. This new system builds upon the original Weapon and Armor Enchantment framework, offering deeper customization for battle.
