Asus Googlebook 14 Review: For Android, By Android

Googlebook 14 features Googlebook OS, which is based on Android and incorporates elements from ChromeOS, offering a familiar user experience for Android users. The interface resembles that of Android devices, with home screens, quick settings, and app access similar to smartphones. Integration with Android phones allows users to access apps, notifications, and files directly from the laptop. The "Continue On" feature enables users to pin phone apps to the Googlebook taskbar for easy transitions between devices. However, Googlebook OS lacks support for traditional desktop software, limiting the functionality of Android apps available through Google Play. Google is addressing compatibility issues by labeling apps for desktop use in the Play Store. New features like Magic Pointer, Proactive Suggestions, and Rambler are introduced, but the OS still requires significant improvements in app compatibility and desktop interface optimization. Google has faced challenges in developer support for optimizing applications for Googlebook OS.

We Got a $240,000 Estimate for Agent API Access. Our Agent Suggested a $5 Postgres Instance.

The operational landscape at SaaStr has changed significantly with the integration of AI, particularly with the AI VP of Revenue, 10K, which manages most outbound, inbound, and revenue operations and executes 35,000 to 40,000 API calls daily. Salesforce, Atlassian, and HubSpot are now charging for agent access, with estimates suggesting that maintaining 10K could cost around 0,000 annually. 10K has proposed mirroring the system of record into a Postgres database to reduce API call costs. Previous limitations with Marketo restricted API access to 10 or 20 minutes daily, prompting a migration away from it. The cloud index has risen by 18%, while vendors relying solely on per-seat sales are struggling. Data shows that 49.7% of executives changed jobs in the last 16 months, with 63% of CMOs doing the same. Additionally, more than 75% of AI-native attendees at SaaStr events had never attended before. 10K is now tracking its own API calls and reducing unnecessary ones, while a Postgres mirror is being considered for vendors with high agent pricing. Muse is being tested for ad capabilities against Claude and Replit.

Minecraft Dungeons 2 is an okay approximation of ‘Diablo for kids’ that’s sorely in need of more depth

Minecraft Dungeons 2 is an action role-playing game available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch, with a release date of September 29, 2026. The game features a twelve-hour campaign where players experience consistent challenges due to level scaling, which diminishes the sense of progression. Combat is repetitive, lacking strategic depth, and exploration is limited despite claims of a more expansive world. The visual aesthetic is vibrant, but the narrative is weak and lacks engaging characters. The game includes accessibility options such as a guidance trail, customizable subtitles, and color-blind modes. The review was based on over thirteen hours of gameplay on a high-performance PC.

Minecraft Dungeons 2 Review

Minecraft Dungeons 2 is developed by Mojang and Double Eleven, published by Xbox Game Studios and Mojang. It is available on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PS5, with a release date of September 29, 2026, priced at £24.99. The game serves as an accessible introduction to the action RPG genre, targeting younger audiences, particularly Minecraft fans. It features a semi-open-world structure, allowing exploration of various areas, but the main quest line and side quests can be completed in approximately seven to ten hours. Combat mechanics are straightforward, with rapid loot acquisition and a system that can frustrate players due to hidden stats. The narrative involves ill-intentioned Illagers and lacks variety in quests. The game includes a co-op mode for up to four players and cross-platform online play, but players cannot transfer offline characters online. The Deluxe Edition includes additional content such as a Soul Cape, hero skins, and access to DLC packs.

Be warned: Nivalis Nights may not be the cozy game you expect: ‘If you want a cozy existence in this city, you’re going to have to earn it’

Nivalis Nights is a user-generated tag on Steam that is described as a cyberpunk shop/life simulation game, with elements of management and relaxation. However, the game presents an overwhelming volume of quests and notifications, creating a chaotic experience that contrasts with traditional notions of coziness. Lead writer Thomas Welsh acknowledges that the game reflects life in a capitalist society, where players face burdensome debt and bureaucratic challenges. Despite its harsh world, the game includes decorating and management elements, visually stunning graphics, character narratives, and a hint of romance. The initial overwhelm from the quest log and constant notifications contributes to the subjective interpretation of coziness in gaming.

Expect plenty more Silent Hill over the next few years, as Konami has plans for ‘second and third waves’ of new games in its revived horror series

Silent Hill has made a successful comeback after nearly ten years of inactivity, with three new titles released by Konami: Silent Hill 2 Remake, Silent Hill f, and Silent Hill: Townfall. These games have received positive reviews and are performing well in sales. Producer Motoi Okamoto expressed relief over the successful reception of these titles and highlighted the challenges faced in convincing Konami to approve new entries after the cancellation of Silent Hills in 2015. There is interest in remaking the original 1999 Silent Hill, and the involvement of NeoBards Entertainment and Screen Burn Interactive in future projects remains unconfirmed. Silent Hill f has been described as a "true return to form," and Screen Burn's work on Silent Hill: Townfall has been praised for capturing the essence of the franchise.

‘I was nice to you three times in a row, so can I have one sex please?’: Why Nivalis Nights intentionally avoided transactional romances

Nivalis Nights combines storytelling and shop simulation with relationship dynamics, allowing players to interact with characters in ways that shape four attitudes: friendly, combative, romantic, and savvy. The dialogue options do not provide clear indicators, leading to ambiguous interactions that can result in unintended outcomes, such as offending a character or flirting unintentionally. Some characters hint at potential romantic paths, while others are less clear about their intentions. Lead writer Thomas Welsh notes that this design choice intentionally diverges from traditional romance systems in games, which often use clear markers to guide players. The lack of tone markers in dialogue requires players to interpret their interactions, resulting in varied experiences where relationships may develop unexpectedly or remain platonic.
