This behavior is expected for a limited number of devices and is part of the Secure Boot update process. The Secure Boot certificates are replacing older ones issued in 2011, set to expire in June 2026. Users can check their Secure Boot status in the Windows Security app, which indicates the status with green, yellow, or red badges. A green badge means the system is up to date, while yellow and red badges indicate issues with certificate updates. Microsoft is managing Secure Boot certificates on modern PCs, but older machines without OEM support may struggle to receive updates due to firmware limitations.

Google Messages may soon solve your dark viewfinder struggles

Exploitation requires control over the update response, with potential methods including compromising the update infrastructure or redirecting the client. The vulnerabilities affect Ollama versions 0.12.10 through 0.17.5, and users are advised to disable auto-updates and remove shortcuts from the Startup folder to mitigate risks.

ScarCruft hackers push BirdCall Android malware via game platform

APT37, also known as ScarCruft and Ricochet Chollima, has developed an Android version of the backdoor BirdCall, which serves as spyware in addition to a backdoor. The malware was delivered through a Chinese website that hosts games for Android, iOS, and Windows, targeting only Android and Windows systems. The Android variant of BirdCall has capabilities such as extracting IP geolocation information, collecting contact lists, call logs, SMS data, device information, taking screenshots, recording audio, and exfiltrating files. Users are advised to download software only from official marketplaces and trusted publisher sites to protect against malware infections.
