Black Ops 7 Season 2 is bringing some wild loadout additions, and I haven’t been this scared of a scorestreak in years

Treyarch is set to introduce new content for Black Ops 7 Season 2, including a scorestreak called the Lockshot, inspired by Titanfall's Smart Pistols, which can lock onto multiple targets and eliminate them with a single trigger pull. Players will also have access to new weapons through the battle pass, including the REV-46 submachine gun, EGRT-17 assault rifle, and H311-SAW melee weapon. Additional weapons, such as the SG-12 shotgun, Voyak KT-3 assault rifle, and the returning Swordfish burst rifle from Black Ops 4, will be available later in the season. Season 2 will also feature the launch of Ranked Play, providing a competitive gameplay environment. The season officially begins on February 5.

Splitgate 2 was reverted to a beta state after two months due to a lukewarm reception caused by an overload of features that detracted from its core appeal. The game is being relaunched as Splitgate Arena Reloaded, with a new release date and gameplay perspective. Key changes include the removal of hero characters and their abilities, a focus on classic shooter gameplay, the introduction of new arena modes, five new maps, six reworked maps, and three new primary weapons, including the Railgun. The progression system and Ranked play have been overhauled, and store prices have been reduced. League of Legends is giving every role a transformative rework as part of the best slate of changes I’ve seen in years

League of Legends will introduce a battle pass system and dynamic seasonal Rifts in 2026, with a focus on enhancing balance, game duration, and introducing new formidable monsters. The season will feature a Demacia theme, with champions receiving new skins and Morgana getting a cosmetic upgrade. Role rebalancing will include Role Quests for top laners and ADCs, with improvements such as a longer-cooldown Teleport spell for top laners and increased gold acquisition for ADCs. Mid lane players will receive new tier three boots, while junglers will have enhanced movement speed and rewards. Supports will gain a dedicated control ward spot and improved gold generation. Atakhan, the Bringer of Ruin, will be retired, replaced by the new mechanic Crystalline Overgrowth. Game time will accelerate with minions spawning sooner, and Ranked play will see reinstated Solo/Duo queues and adjusted MMR calculations. Eleven new items will be introduced, including Hextech Gunblade and Stormrazor. The season launches on January 7, with changes appearing on the PBE on December 3.

Warzone is getting Black Ops 7’s open matchmaking in Season 1, so you won’t have to take a shower after every match

Skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) in Call of Duty has been a contentious issue among casual players, often leading to feelings of exhaustion. Black Ops 7 has introduced open matchmaking in its casual playlists, a change that will also be implemented in Warzone. Game director Peter Actipis announced that open matchmaking is coming to Warzone in Season 1, launching on December 4. The new Resurgence map, Havens Hollow, will increase lobby size from 44 to 52 players for quads, and the Homestead point of interest has been redesigned to improve gameplay. Raven Software plans to implement more frequent meta updates, focusing on adjusting attachment effectiveness and rebalancing perks, including changes to the Survivor perk. Upcoming modes include Ampred BR, which increases base health, and High Octane BR, allowing players to start with preferred loadouts. Season 2 will bring significant changes to Rebirth Island, including a snowstorm that will alter the map.

All 2XKO Ranks – how to access ranked mode

Players must reach account level three to access the ranked mode in 2XKO, which officially launches on October 9, 2025. The ranked system consists of 11 ranks, most divided into three tiers: Aspirant, Bronze, Iron, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger. Players undergo five placement matches to determine their initial rank and must earn 100 Ranked Points (RP) to ascend the ranks. While players cannot be demoted from their overall rank, they can lose tier status with enough losses, and a loss at 0 RP results in demotion to a lower tier. Ranks reset each season, and exclusive ranked rewards exist, though details are currently undisclosed.
