The latest Android Auto 17.9 beta and stable version 17.8 include code strings indicating the upcoming arrival of Proactive Assistance, which debuted on the Pixel 10 series and was rebranded for the Pixel 11 series. Examples of Proactive Assistance include displaying flight information in Google Messages, pulling up restaurant listings in Google Maps, and alerting users about conflicting calendar events. Although the integration was announced in May, updates on its release timeline have been limited. The feature is currently exclusive to Pixel phones, suggesting that Android Auto integration will require a Pixel device.
