Hellraiser: Revival (PC) REVIEW – The Wettest Game of the Year

The Hellraiser franchise began with Clive Barker's literary works and transitioned into a film in 1987, followed by nine sequels and a reboot. The latest installment, Hellraiser: Revival, is a narrative-driven single-player game that incorporates elements from various gaming genres, including a grim atmosphere similar to Condemned, a merchant system like Resident Evil 4, chase sequences akin to Outlast, hide-and-seek mechanics inspired by Alien: Isolation, abilities reminiscent of BioShock, and crafting systems typical of modern gaming. The story follows Aidan Lynch, who seeks to rescue his partner Sunny from Pinhead after a traumatic encounter. Aidan, portrayed by Xalavier Nelson Jr., is a flawed character who faces internal struggles, while Doug Bradley reprises his role as Pinhead. The game features dynamic combat with a variety of weapons and enemies, requiring strategic thinking. Despite some budget constraints and minor flaws, Hellraiser: Revival is noted for its impressive art direction and atmospheric design, without any microtransactions. A deluxe edition key was provided for the review.

Expect plenty more Silent Hill over the next few years, as Konami has plans for ‘second and third waves’ of new games in its revived horror series

Microsoft entertains resurrecting 3D Pinball for Windows 11

Time Crisis Arcade-Perfect PC Port Is Now Available for Download

An unofficial PC version of the arcade classic Time Crisis has been released as part of the “Namco System 22 games for PC” initiative, which aims to bring several arcade games to the PC platform. The namco22-decompile project currently supports five titles: Time Crisis, Rave Racer, Dirt Dash, Tokyo Wars, and Prop Cycle. These games run more efficiently than traditional emulators and support widescreen formats and resolutions up to 4K. The Time Crisis port features mouse control support and compatibility with light guns. Players need to supply their own ROM files to enjoy the games, as the project does not include in-game assets. Other unofficial PC ports include titles such as Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Donkey Kong Country games. September 2026 has seen various unofficial PC ports, including Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, GTA: Liberty City Stories, and Super Mario Strikers.

Tempest Rising has just launched an expansion that lets you play as the bad guys
