Amazon will restore the ability to sideload apps on its Fire TV hardware with an upcoming Android software update. A previous update unintentionally blocked the installation of third-party applications due to a bug, which Amazon has acknowledged and is working to fix. Affected devices will receive the update automatically in the coming week.
