Comp stomp is a cooperative gaming mode where players team up against AI opponents, but it often lacks genuine strategy due to the AI's limitations. The Last Stand from Dawn of War 2, launched in 2009, offers an alternative experience by placing players in a scenario with a single commander unit facing waves of aliens. Although the standalone version on Steam is no longer available, it can be accessed through the Dawn of War 2: Anniversary Edition. The Last Stand simplifies gameplay by removing traditional base-building and research, focusing on tactical skirmishes. Players can unlock various wargear that alters their playstyle, allowing for diverse strategies. The mode features a variety of playable factions, each with unique heroes and abilities. Despite newer titles, The Last Stand remains popular for its engaging gameplay. Fans are eager to see how it will be integrated into the upcoming Dawn of War 4.

Google is rolling out per-app backup controls to select beta users, allowing individuals to toggle backups for each installed app instead of using a singular master switch. This feature aims to enhance user control over data management by enabling users to decide which apps' data should be included in their backups, addressing concerns about managing cloud storage and optimizing backup space.

"Feed the Pit" invites players to explore cursed forests for sacrifices, while "Forgotten Blood" offers a dark journey through a valley with peculiar creatures. "Telluricene" is a visual novel with romantic choices involving a janitor and a plant creature. "Oblivion Maiden" is a dreamy mystery game, and "Cartesian Battle" teaches math through bullet trajectory challenges. "Cat Squeeze" is a lighthearted maze puzzler, and "Mosaic Garden" focuses on cultivating flower patterns. "Mycofall" is an early access bullet heaven adventure, while "Hollow Ground" offers a 90s-style action experience. "Laballatory" allows players to create Newton's Cradle toys, and "American Revolutionary War" is a turn-based wargame featuring strategic battles against George Washington. The RPS team is preparing for various topics, including insights on the Steam Machine and Tennocon.

Microsoft is enhancing Windows 11 to potentially surpass Windows 10, including the introduction of a feature that allows users to restore a smaller taskbar, addressing user requests. The new Taskbar size setting enables users to adjust the taskbar's overall size, with options for "Small" resulting in a thinner taskbar and smaller icons. Additionally, Windows 11 will receive at least ten new features, including a movable taskbar that allows positioning on any side of the screen. The Start menu is also being improved, allowing size adjustments and the removal of ads, with changes such as renaming the “Recommended” section to “Recent.”

Microsoft has clarified that there is no WSL 3 in development, as stated by Craig Loewen, the Product Manager for the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). The confusion arose from articles discussing a new feature called WSL Containers, which will be launched soon. WSL allows users to run Linux environments on Windows without dual-booting, while WSL Containers enable the creation and management of Linux containers directly within Windows, eliminating the need for third-party tools like Docker Desktop. WSL 1, introduced in 2016, served as a translation layer for Linux system calls, and WSL 2, launched in 2019, included a full Linux kernel in a lightweight virtual machine. WSL Containers is an enhancement to WSL, allowing developers to build, run, and deploy containers directly from Windows using the wslc.exe command. This feature is part of Microsoft's strategy to make Windows a more accessible platform for running Linux workloads, helping to retain developers who might consider switching to other operating systems.
