First look: This upcoming Snapseed tool could leave Google Photos in the dust

Snapseed is set to introduce a new collage-making tool in version 4.1.9, featuring a collage-creator interface that supports various aspect ratios and grid configurations. Users will be able to customize background patterns, spacing, and utilize a “Snap to grid” toggle for precision. The app will also include a Layers option for adding and managing photos, text, and stickers, with capabilities for reordering, hiding, and duplicating layers. WhatsApp Plus lets you customise emoji reactions on Android

WhatsApp is rolling out customizable emoji reactions for Plus subscribers on Android devices, allowing users to replace any or all of the six standard emoji reactions with their chosen emojis. This feature is part of the WhatsApp beta 2.26.38.4 update and can be accessed through the Settings menu or directly from chat. While all users can see the Default Reactions tab, only Plus subscribers can utilize the customization feature. Currently, it is available to a select group of beta testers, with no timeline for broader availability.

This Good Lock module turns Samsung’s Gallery app into a more capable editor

Galaxy Store Will Start Hiding Unverified Android Apps in September

Samsung has alerted developers using the Galaxy Store about upcoming changes due to Google's new Android Developer Verification (ADV) rules, which will take effect on September 30, 2026. Developers in Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand must complete the verification process to avoid having their unverified apps removed from the Galaxy Store. The ADV process requires developers to authenticate their identities and register package names and signing certificates. Apps that are not verified will be hidden from search results and listings, affecting their visibility. Users may face difficulties reinstalling or updating existing apps until developers complete the verification, although previously installed apps will continue to function. Samsung is indicating the status of app binaries in the Seller Portal and will restrict new registrations and updates lacking ADV approval starting in September. Sideloading will still be possible for certain apps and through an advanced installation flow, while ADB installations will remain unchanged. The initial rollout is limited to specific countries, with a global expansion expected in 2027. Developers are encouraged to act quickly to maintain app visibility.
