Minecraft Will Host a TwitchCon Europe Experience in May 2026

Building with “Bluey:” Minecraft to Debut New Bluey’s House DLC Next Month

A new Downloadable Content (DLC) pack for Minecraft, titled Bluey’s House, will be available starting February 5th. This DLC allows players to explore the Heeler family's home, interact with characters like Bluey, Bingo, Mum, and Dad, and engage in activities such as treasure hunts and mini-games. The collaboration is developed by Jigarbov Productions in partnership with BBC Studios and Ludo Studio. Additionally, Bluey experiences will debut at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and on Disney Cruise Line, featuring meet-and-greet opportunities and a new stage show at Disneyland's Fantasyland Theatre, launching this Spring.

Longmont events for Friday, Jan. 2: Minecraft Scavenger Hunt at Longmont Public Library

Families can participate in a Minecraft scavenger hunt at the Longmont Public Library at 9 a.m., with prizes available until January 4 or while supplies last. Sugar Britches will perform at Bricks on Main at 6 p.m., and admission is free. Bootstrap Brewing Company will host the Midnight Hour concert at 6 p.m. featuring Motown music. On Saturday at 8:30 a.m., residents can drop off holiday trees for free chipping at the Town of Lyons Utility Building. A concert celebrating Lynyrd Skynyrd and 38 Special will take place at Bootstrap Brewing Company at 11 a.m. The Wolf Moon Night Hike will occur at 4:30 p.m. at Ron Stewart Preserve. "Nunsense" will be performed at Jesters Dinner Theatre on Sunday at 2 p.m., with ticket prices varying. Adult Drag Bingo will be held at Left Hand Brewing at 6 p.m. on Sunday. Bilingual storytime for children ages 5 and under will take place at Longmont Public Library on Monday at 10 a.m. An open play session for children ages 4 and under will be hosted at the library at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. A drop-in writers group will meet at the library at 6 p.m. on Monday. A watercolor class for participants aged 18 and older will be held at the Firehouse Art Center at noon on Tuesday. The Longmont Public Library will offer a Silent Hour for teens at 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Dungeons & Dragons sessions will take place at the library at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Sketch Club for teen artists will be held at Carbon Valley Regional Library at 4 p.m. on Wednesday. A Make and Take activity will be hosted in the Children’s Area of the Longmont Public Library at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Marble Arch pop-up theatre ‘looks like Minecraft tree’

A pop-up theatre designed to resemble a "Minecraft tree" will be located at the Marble Arch Mound, opening in April 2026 and operating until June 2028. The Westminster City Council's planning committee has unanimously approved the venue, which will temporarily house the Arts Theatre during its refurbishment. The theatre is designed for a lifespan of 20 years, with potential relocation after two years. Local support for the project is strong, although some councillors have expressed concerns about the building's green cladding. Historic England has reservations about the structure's impact on the Marble Arch's prominence. The theatre will feature an aluminium frame with recycled materials, a foyer, bar, and a stage at the western end, with shipping containers used for additional facilities. The Arts Theatre's last performance at its current location is scheduled for December 31.

“It just works”: Valve talk the Steam Frame, Android games on SteamOS, and putting a PC on your face

Valve has announced the Steam Frame, a new VR headset that aims to allow users to play as many VR and non-VR games as possible. The headset runs Steam games from its own onboard storage and uses controllers with a more conventional layout. The Frame's ARM-based Snapdragon chip poses challenges and opportunities for compatibility with Android VR games. Valve is working on platform crossover plans to allow Android VR titles on Steam, using an x86-to-ARM emulator called FEX. The Frame will be able to run PC games as well as Android VR games due to its SteamOS platform. Valve is focusing on providing a seamless gaming experience for customers without them having to worry about technical details. The Frame will also support mixed reality with the right third-party hardware additions.

The top characters at launch include: - S Tier: Psyche, Fina, Truffle, Filbert - A Tier: Daphne, Rebecca, Lynn, Randy, Tabethe, Yale, Oliver - B Tier: Outsider, Berenica, Fushu, Hellfire, Lisbell, Phantasio, Rhythm, Randy - C Tier: Lady Nifle, Margie, Sibylle Psyche can be unlocked for free via the Covert Commissions system and is available for purchase in the shop. Fina can also be unlocked through Covert Commissions or purchased from the store. Lisbell is unlocked by completing the chapter Noctoyager [On a Gentle Breeze]. The most grimdark FPS on Steam somehow gets gnarlier with gross new skins and a hefty class rework

Warhammer 40k Darktide has received a substantial update titled Bound by Duty, which introduces lethal plasma weaponry, a new map (Theatre of Rectitude), and a new enemy type called the Plasma Gun-wielding Scab. The update also brings back Havoc Mutators, including one that grants toxicity and another that enhances combat effectiveness. New equipment for players includes a Power Falchio and variants of the Boltgun and Bolt Pistol that fire explosive rounds. The Zealot class has been rebalanced for improved effectiveness, along with adjustments to other classes like Psyker, Veteran, Ogryn, and Arbites. The update features a live event called Smuggled Munitions, where players eliminate squads that have stolen plasma weapon caches, rewarding them with a portrait frame upon completion. The update is available on Steam, along with full patch notes detailing balance tweaks and bug fixes.
