Buckshot Roulette has officially launched today on XBOX Series X|S, XBOX One, XBOX on PC, and cloud services. It is available at no additional cost for XBOX Game Pass subscribers. The game replaces the traditional revolver of Russian Roulette with a pump-action 12-gauge shotgun, where players alternate turns with The Dealer, drawing items and deciding whether to aim at their opponent or themselves. It offers a single-player experience and has integrated multiplayer support for up to four players as a post-launch update. The game has evolved from an experiment on Itch.io to a celebrated title with a vibrant community, featuring fan art and enthusiasm. Today marks its first availability on console.
Sony has ceased production of physical discs. Microsoft has extended support for Windows 10 and retired the Surface Go and Surface Laptop Go, with no plans for restocking or successors. A leaked video revealed Microsoft's development of a Copilot operating system based on a streamlined Windows codebase. Xbox is considering canceling Marvel's Blade as part of a restructuring effort. Treyarch announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010) and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (2012) will be ported to PlayStation platforms, likely for PS4 and PS5, starting in July. Iron Galaxy Studios will handle the modernization of these titles. The games have been available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S since 2016 through Microsoft's Backwards Compatibility Program. Xbox is offering the game "Tell Me Why" for free on Steam until July 1. Players who redeem the game will permanently own it in their Steam library and it is playable on Steam Deck, although not Steam Deck Verified. "Tell Me Why," developed by Don’t Nod Entertainment and released in August 2020, is an Xbox console exclusive with an 80% approval rating on Steam based on nearly 8,000 reviews. The game features an adventure narrative where player choices affect the storyline, focusing on twins Tyler and Alison Ronan as they explore their childhood secrets in an Alaskan town, with gameplay lasting between 9 to 14 hours.
Digital Eclipse is set to release a remastered collection titled Toy Story: Retro Roundup on October 15, featuring 11 games, including nine from the Toy Story series and two from A Bug’s Life, for consoles and PC. The collection includes titles such as Toy Story (1995), Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! (1999), and A Bug’s Life (1998). Enhanced features will include improved rendering, gameplay rewind, and cheats, along with exclusive developer interviews and behind-the-scenes content. Additionally, Toy Story 3: Complete Edition will be released, offering updated visuals and new gameplay options.
