Preliminary investigations suggest that the leak may have stemmed from a mishap during the publication of pre-load files. Sources indicate that an unencrypted build of the game was inadvertently uploaded to the server, lacking the additional anti-piracy measures typically employed to safeguard such releases. This oversight has enabled users to disseminate the distribution across platforms known for hosting pirated content.
Notably, the version that has been made publicly available is the Premium Edition of Forza Horizon 6, which includes all the promised additional content. The size of this distribution is approximately 155 GB.
Official early access for purchasers of the premium edition is set to commence on May 15, while the full release of the game is scheduled for May 19, 2026. Players who opt for the standard version will only be able to start their racing adventures following the general launch.
