To download the latest Ryzen chipset drivers, users can visit the official download link provided by AMD. Additionally, AMD offers a comprehensive guide to assist with the driver installation process.
While installing the driver, users may encounter a few issues, such as driver names appearing in English on non-English operating systems or incorrect uninstall status display. However, AMD plans to address these problems in future updates as Windows 11 24H2 transitions to stable channel users, expected around September or October 2024.
2024: The Year of Qualcomm
In May 2024, Qualcomm introduced Copilot+ PCs featuring their new AI chips with 45 TOPS NPU performance. Compared to AI PCs from AMD and Intel, Qualcomm’s offering stands out with significantly higher NPU performance.
Interestingly, AMD revealed that their new Ryzen AI 300 PCs, boasting 50 TOPS NPU performance, are not Copilot+ certified. As a result, these PCs will not initially support AI experiences like Paint Cocreator, Restyle in Photos, and Recall at launch.
Customers eager to explore these features will have to wait for a future Windows 11 update to experience them on AMD’s Ryzen AI 300 PCs.
