A new feature named Soundscape has emerged within the Windows 11 ecosystem, poised to transform the way users interact with sound settings. This innovative addition is set to replace the traditional sound settings found in the Control Panel, a relic that has served users for nearly four decades.

Discovered by user @phantomofearth on X, the Soundscape feature was located on a hidden page within an internal build of Windows 11. Although the Soundscape page remains unpopulated and is absent from current test builds, it signals Microsoft’s ongoing transition towards a more modern settings interface. Once activated, the link to the old Control Panel Sound window will vanish from the Settings > System > Sound menu, marking a significant shift in user experience.
