Releasing Windows 10 Build 19045.5194 to Beta and Release Preview Channels

Hello Windows Insiders, today marks a significant step in our ongoing journey with Windows 10 as we roll out Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.5194 (KB5046714) to both the Beta Channel and Release Preview Channel. This update is available for those who are currently using Windows 10, version 22H2.

In a continuation of our approach since June, both channels will receive the same build today. However, it is important to note that this will be the final release of a Windows 10 build to the Beta Channel, as we prepare to close it down. Insiders currently in the Beta Channel will be transitioned to the Release Preview Channel, where we will focus our future updates. For those who prefer to make the switch themselves, you can easily do so by navigating to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program and selecting the Release Preview Channel. We also encourage users to consider upgrading to Windows 11, as support for Windows 10 will soon come to an end.

For Windows Insiders on Windows 10 in the Beta Channel, we’re beginning to roll out the following improvements

  • [Start menu] New! The Recommended section of the Start menu will now feature select Microsoft Store apps from a curated group of developers, enhancing your ability to discover valuable applications. If you prefer not to see these suggestions, you can disable them by going to Settings > Personalization > Start and turning off the toggle for Show suggestions occasionally in Start.

For those in the Beta Channel eager to receive features as they become available, you can activate the toggle for updates via Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. As we progress, we will gradually increase the rollout of new features to all devices with this toggle enabled. If you choose to keep it off, rest assured that new features will still be rolled out to your device over time as they are ready.

This update includes the following features and improvements for Windows Insiders in BOTH the Beta and Release Preview Channels

  • [App list backup] Fixed: Win32 shortcuts might not back up to the cloud.
  • [Copy cloud files] Fixed: Dragging and dropping files from a cloud files provider folder may have resulted in a move instead of a copy.
  • [Motherboard replacement] Fixed: Windows does not activate after a motherboard replacement.
  • [Country and Operator Settings Asset (COSA)] Fixed: This update brings profiles up to date for certain mobile operators.
  • [Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) printer] Fixed: Windows stops responding when using an IPP USB printer.

Thank you for your continued support and engagement.
