Oracle Releases VirtualBox 7.0.20 Update
Oracle has unveiled the latest update for VirtualBox, version 7.0.20, which focuses on bug fixes and enhancements. The release addresses several key issues across different operating systems.
For Windows users, a bug causing TPM-related errors in the event viewer on guest PCs has been resolved. Additionally, a bug affecting high definition audio recording emulation on Windows 10 and Windows 11 guests has also been fixed. The update also includes new UEFI Secure Boot certificates, following Microsoft’s recent security patches for the BlackLotus UEFI Secure Boot flaw.
On the macOS front, a bug related to USB passing for hosts has been addressed, along with a fix for a USB-related bug triggering the Open Host Controller Interface (OHCI).
Linux users will benefit from initial support for OpenSuse 15.6 and RHEL 9.5 kernels in the latest VirtualBox release.
The full changelog for VirtualBox 7.0.20 includes fixes for TPM errors, USB passing on macOS hosts, audio recording with HDA emulation, OHCI deadlock issues, and support for new Linux kernels.
