Streamlined Access to Android Mirroring
In a significant upgrade, the process of mirroring your Android device has been simplified. Previously, users were required to open the Phone Link app to establish this connection. Now, with just a click on your device’s icon in the Start menu’s phone companion panel, you can seamlessly share your screen.
To take advantage of this new functionality, it is essential to first link your Android phone to your Windows 11 computer using the Phone Link app. This connection not only facilitates screen mirroring but also opens the door to a range of other useful features. Users can effortlessly transfer files between their phone and PC, and even utilize their phone as a webcam for their computer.
At present, this enhanced mirroring feature is exclusively available to testers participating in the Windows 11 Insider Program. It is important to note that compatibility is limited to a select number of Android devices at this stage. However, Microsoft anticipates rolling out this feature to all users by June, promising a broader accessibility for those eager to integrate their mobile and desktop experiences.
