Microsoft has unveiled a series of enhancements for Windows 11 as part of its latest Patch Tuesday, with a notable addition being the ability to pause updates indefinitely. This feature, which was initially available to Windows Insiders earlier this year, allows users to delay updates for a maximum of 35 days, with the option to extend this deadline repeatedly.
This initiative is part of Microsoft’s broader strategy to rejuvenate Windows 11, focusing on user feedback and performance improvements. Alongside the new update pause feature, Microsoft has addressed several security vulnerabilities, leveraging artificial intelligence to identify and patch these issues, signaling a commitment to ongoing security enhancements in future releases.
In addition to the update pause functionality, last month’s preview included a range of other features in the optional June update (KB5101650). Among these is a “Point-in-time restore” option, which enables users to revert their PC, including apps, settings, and files, to a previous state. The update also introduces customization options for Widgets, a more precise magnification tool, and improved stability for certain Bluetooth devices.
