This update, while causing installation issues for some devices, introduces a directory named “SecureBoot” within the Windows system folder. The purpose of this directory may not be immediately apparent to all users.
For those who have been attentive to updates, it is important to note that Windows Secure Boot certificates are set to expire next month. Should these certificates remain outdated, systems will lose support starting in June, which could compromise Secure Boot functionality and heighten vulnerability to malware and cyber threats. Microsoft has been proactively distributing new certificates through Windows Update, ensuring that users who maintain regular updates will likely navigate June without complications.
This update adds a new SecureBoot folder under C:Windows on eligible devices. The folder contains example scripts intended for organizations with IT professionals who actively manage updates across their device fleet. Should you delete the SecureBoot folder?

Windows Latest has explicitly warned against the deletion of the SecureBoot folder, highlighting that such an action could lead to complications with future Windows updates. If the Windows Update process attempts to locate this folder and fails to find it, users may encounter unexpected error messages.
