This PC was never designed solely for gaming, yet it still has the capacity to run a vast library of titles from Steam. Although the operating system presents some challenges—Linux cannot run every Windows application—virtualization offers a workaround. Microsoft aims to provide the best experience with Windows 11, but the exclusion of older CPUs from support is a significant setback for many users. The i5-7600K, while aging, remains a capable four-core processor that can run modern operating systems like Ubuntu 25.04 and a variety of games, especially with a GPU upgrade.
