Adobe has unveiled public beta versions of its popular software suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and Media Encoder, tailored specifically for Windows 11 on Arm architecture. In an official announcement, Adobe expressed enthusiasm for this development, stating, “We are excited to announce the public beta release of Windows on ARM native support in After Effects and Premiere Pro.” The company anticipates that these applications will operate seamlessly on all Qualcomm Snapdragon X-based laptops and tablets.

As these offerings are in beta, users should be aware that certain features are currently unavailable. Adobe has outlined a list of functionalities that will be included in the final release of Premiere Pro for Windows 11 on Arm:
- Support for third-party extensions, including various plugins and audio plugins
- ProRes support for import and export, as well as using ProRes for proxies and render and replace options
- Import and export capabilities for JPEG2000 in MXF
- Import options for MotionJPEG and MKV
- Hardware-accelerated playback and export of H.264 and HEVC in MP4 format
- Support for raw video files, including Apple ProRes RAW, ARRI ARRIRAW, Canon Cinema RAW Light, and Sony X-OCN and Sony RAW
However, it is important to note that certain features will not be available in the native Windows 11 on Arm version of Premiere Pro, both now and in the final release. These exclusions include the Loudness Radar effect (which has been superseded by the Loudness Meter), export to Wraptor DCP, and the import and export of the GoPro CineForm codec, along with export to the P2 Movie format.
For After Effects users, Adobe has identified several issues within the beta version that are slated for resolution:
- Limited format support, particularly for ProRes, ARRIRAW, SWF, GoPro CinePro, JPEG2000 in MXF, and WMV, leading to defaults to uncompressed QuickTime codec with a warning
- No import options for MotionJPEG and MKV
- Lack of hardware-accelerated playback and export for H.264 and HEVC in MP4
- Absence of Keylight and Mocha, with a warning displayed upon launch
- Unavailability of the Cinema 4D renderer and related C4D features, such as Cineware
- Incompatibility with third-party plug-ins, which will require updates for WinARM compatibility; Adobe is actively collaborating with many developers and plans to release an SDK update for WinARM
Adobe also recommends that After Effects users ensure they are utilizing the latest version of the Qualcomm Adreno GPU driver to achieve optimal performance. Additionally, beta versions of Adobe Audition and Media Encoder are now accessible natively for Windows 11 on Arm. While direct download links are not provided, it is assumed that these releases can be accessed through the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app.
