Microsoft asks Windows 11 users to ignore yet another error message

In a recent advisory, Microsoft has once again encouraged users to disregard certain error messages that may appear misleading. This follows previous instances, including the WinRE error code 0x80070643 in April and Windows Firewall messages in July.

Latest Advisory on CertificateServicesClient Errors

According to reports from BleepingComputer, Microsoft has identified a new error that users might encounter after installing the optional July 2025 update or any subsequent updates. Specifically, this pertains to an error related to the CertificateServicesClient (CertEnroll), which is logged as Error ID 57 in the Event Viewer.

The message reads: “The ‘Microsoft Pluton Cryptographic Provider’ provider was not loaded because initialization failed.” However, Microsoft has clarified this situation in its Windows Release Health support document:

“Following installation of the July 2025 Windows non-security preview update (KB5062660) and later updates including the August 2025 Windows security update, Event Viewer may display an error related to CertificateServicesClient (CertEnroll) which can be safely ignored. Please note that although this event is logged in Event Viewer every time the device is restarted, it does not reflect an issue with any active Windows component. This event is related to a feature that is currently under active development. There is no impact to Windows processes associated to this event and no action is required to prevent or resolve this error.”

In essence, Error ID 57 is attributed to a bug that poses no risk to end users. Therefore, there is no need for concern, and users can confidently overlook this message without taking any further action.
