Microsoft is enhancing user experience with its Copilot Vision by simplifying access to ‘guided help’ sessions. This initiative aims to provide users with a more intuitive way to navigate their applications and files.
In a recent development, Microsoft is rolling out a Windows 11 update that integrates artificial intelligence into the Copilot app, allowing users to search through files and images with greater ease. Currently available to Windows Insiders on Copilot Plus PCs, this feature enables users to employ more descriptive language in their searches. For instance, instead of merely searching by file name or type, users can now articulate their needs more specifically, such as asking for “the file with the chicken tostada recipe.” This enhancement builds upon the AI-powered Windows search introduced earlier this year.
Moreover, Microsoft is experimenting with a new home experience within Copilot. This feature highlights recent applications, files, and conversations, streamlining the user’s workflow. When a user selects an app from the “get guided help” section, Copilot initiates a Vision session. During this session, the AI scans the user’s screen and provides step-by-step guidance through the application. Additionally, users can upload recent photos directly to Copilot, allowing them to request further information about the images.
These innovative features are being gradually rolled out across all Insider channels via the Microsoft Store, marking a significant step forward in enhancing productivity and user engagement.
