Xbox Cloud Gaming Expands to Game Pass Core, Standard
This expansion is currently being rolled out to Xbox Insiders as part of a testing phase. With this initiative, subscribers at the Core and Standard levels will gain the ability to enjoy a variety of titles included in their subscriptions, as well as other cloud-playable games. This development follows a recent teaser from Microsoft, hinting at more affordable and accessible options for experiencing Xbox’s cloud gaming capabilities.
Historically, access to Xbox Cloud Gaming was limited to Ultimate tier subscribers, making this new offering a notable shift in Microsoft’s strategy. Xbox Insider Test Comes With Select PC Games
To take advantage of this new cloud gaming feature, users must meet an additional requirement: they need to be part of the Xbox Insider Program. Fortunately, joining this program is a straightforward process; users simply need to register their existing Xbox account. Additionally, downloading the Xbox Insider Hub on their preferred platform—be it Windows PC, Xbox One, or Xbox Series S and X consoles—is necessary.
As part of this testing phase, Microsoft is also providing Game Pass Core and Standard users with access to a selection of PC games through the Xbox Cloud Gaming experience.
