The quest for the elusive Key of Apostate beckons, promising to unlock further mysteries within the depths of the prison. Despite your efforts, including a return to the Bellway and a thorough exploration of the surrounding areas, your progress may feel stagnant, accompanied by a few unfortunate deaths. The truth is, the Apostate key lies far from your current location.
Silksong Key of Apostate location
The Key of Apostate awaits discovery in the Putrified Ducts, which can be accessed via either Bilewater or Memorium, contingent upon your advancement in the game. Regardless of the path you choose, ensure that you have acquired the double jump ability (Faydown Cloak) to navigate the elevated terrain effectively.
Your journey to the key can commence at the bench located in Bilewater’s primary boss arena. From this vantage point, venture left into the adjacent area and ascend through the perilous vertical section laden with spikes. Upon entering the Putrified Ducts, continue your upward trek, veering left while dispatching the tentacles of the ceiling-dwelling bugs. Eventually, you will encounter a broken cage emanating a soft glow; strike it until it reveals the coveted Key of Apostate.
Alternatively, you may opt to start your adventure from The Citadel, traversing through Memorium. While this route is more extensive, it offers the advantage of bypassing Bilewater entirely. Keep an eye out for a hidden passage, marked by a flower on the map, located above the rightmost wall in one of the connecting areas.
With the Key of Apostate secured, your next destination is The Slab. If you head west from the Citadel Spa, you’ll stumble upon The Slab map along your journey.
Now that you are equipped with the Key of Apostate, your exploration can continue.
