Google’s Recorder app update tweaks a key audio feature

Google has initiated the rollout of an update for its Recorder app, specifically designed for Pixel devices, which introduces a fresh account switcher interface along with enhancements to the audio recording features.

Enhancements to Clear Voice Feature

The update brings a notable change to the Clear Voice feature, which has been rebranded as Auto Clear Voice. This adjustment comes with a clarification that the feature now utilizes more storage space. Despite this change in nomenclature, users may find that the functionality remains consistent, suggesting that the update serves primarily as a notification rather than a functional overhaul.

When utilizing the Auto Clear Voice feature, users will notice a new chip on the playback screen indicating that the audio enhancement is active. This chip also provides an option to revert to the original audio, ensuring flexibility for users who may prefer the unaltered sound.

New Account Switcher UI

In addition to the audio enhancements, the Recorder app now features a revamped account switcher UI. This new interface aims to streamline the user experience, making it easier to manage multiple accounts within the app.

With these updates, users are encouraged to explore the new functionalities as they become available. The enhancements reflect Google’s ongoing commitment to improving user experience and functionality within its applications.
